Monday, 17th of September. Scottish Monday-holiday.
Jules and Helen came over and stayed with us until this evening. We had a great time. It is always soooo nice to see them.
They arrived for dinner on Friday. I cooked Indian!!! Or an aspiratin to it. But it tasted good. I was pleased.
On Saturday we went for a long walk around Edinburgh: citycentre, the new Scottish Parlament buiding, the hills behind it until the Arthur's sit, and then Newington, Meadows, Bruntsfield, Polwarth Gardens. All by foot. Great stuff, but my legs were aching when arriving home.
Sunday was rainy. We looked at houses to buy. Serious stuff. We found some interesting stuff. Same story: nice stylish and traditional architecture = too expensive. Alternative: nice, spacious house, nice gardens = bad facades, no nice style, far away. But we found some interesting compromise this weekend. Let's see if we will be lucky.
Great to have Jules and Helen's advice as well.
Monday evening: dinner at Al & Kate's place. Wonderful. She is a master-cook. Joe and Mo played wonderfully together!! Super.
Now Jules and Helen are on their way home.
It was really nice to have them around.
Hopefully, next month, we will have loads of fun with Claudia and Eduardo as well.
