Being Alive

I am alive.
Strange things happen. The world moves all the time. Nothing is static. Life is amazing!
One day your kid is jumping around the nearest park, laughing loudly, and your only concern is to be around to be sure he is safe. Next he is already 14, sometimes talkative wanting to tell you his opinion about the world's social issues and sometimes he barely says hello and wants to stay in his bedroom.
One day your partner is there complaining about the light you left on in the corridor or the way you organised the stuff in the kitchen and next, he is gone, not even to an apartment in the same city, nor to another country, but to a much longer journey we all once will have to deal with.
Now, I am here. With plenty of exams to correct, lunch to prepare, a son who will be soon home for lunch and has to be driven to music school later, and there are lectures to be given in the evening. Moreover, plenty of administrative and financial issues to deal with.  The machine keeps running.
Gott sei Dank, es ist Freitag! ;-)
